Editorial Policy

Manuscripts submitted to Acta Botanica Plantae must be concise, well-written, and present original findings that significantly advance knowledge in their respective fields. Large data-driven studies are encouraged, provided they include functional validation and draw meaningful conclusions relevant to plant biology. Submissions will be evaluated based on scientific rigor, novelty, and their potential to impact the broader plant science community.

Exclusions

To maintain its high standards and relevance, the journal will not consider:

  • Preliminary observations or findings with limited scope and significance.
  • Confirmatory studies replicating results previously established in other plant systems.
  • Basic molecular marker descriptions or gene sequences without substantial biological insights.
  • Routine cell culture and transformation studies for species already well-documented.
  • Basic -omics studies lacking functional characterization of key genes or proteins.

Commitment to Excellence

Acta Botanica Plantae is committed to facilitating rapid dissemination of scientific knowledge. The journal upholds a rigorous, transparent, and efficient review process, supported by a diverse editorial board of leading experts worldwide. ABP publishes quarterly and ensures that accepted papers are made available promptly online.

By providing a global platform for cutting-edge research, Acta Botanica Plantae strives to contribute to the advancement of plant science and its applications in agriculture, conservation, biotechnology, and beyond.

We welcome submissions from all areas of plant research, encouraging authors to contribute innovative and impactful studies that will benefit both the scientific community and society at large.
